Barnhouse Keegan Solimon & West is excited to congratulate Lauren F. Earls on her recent admission to the State Bar of New Mexico and as our newest Associate Attorney!
Lauren is a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Lauren joined us as a law clerk in August of 2024 after graduating from the University of New Mexico School of Law (“UNMSOL”).
Before attending law school, Lauren served as the Director of Admissions at Overland Summers, an outdoor program for kids and teens. Lauren had a longstanding interest in Indian law and attended the UNMSOL for that purpose. During law school, Lauren served as a summer associate at two well-established and respected Albuquerque civil rights law firms and worked for the American Indian Law Center, Inc. as a research assistant and as a law clerk for the Southwest Intertribal Court of Appeals. Lauren was also a Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Fellow, served as Editor-in-Chief of the Tribal Law Journal, and was a recipient of the W.E. and Hazel T. Bondurant Scholarship, the Karl E. Johnson Scholarship of the Indian Law Section of the State Bar, and the Henry Kent Anderson Human Services Award.
Veronique Richardson was honored to move for Lauren’s admission into the State Bar of New Mexico during the Swearing-In Ceremony that took place on April 28, 2025. The firm is thrilled with the addition of Lauren as an associate. Please join us in congratulating Lauren!
